EASY SET UP

When this vacuum arrives there is a little bit of set up. You will need to unpack the box and attach the stick part tot the power head and then attach the handle/canister to the other end of the stick. The battery will need to be fully charged and then attached to the handle as well. Once you know where you are keeping the vacuum you will have to attach the hanging bracket to the wall and hang the vacuum and attachments.

The actual set up does not require any tools and is super easy and quick. Hanging the bracket will take a screw driver and that is it!

ABOUT THIS VACUUM

This vacuum has really good suction. The 300W brushless motor provides 25 KPa of suction power. It provided excellent suction on all the tested surfaces including, tile, hardwood, brick, low pile carpet, medium pile carpet, oriental area rugs and ruggables. This vac is well-equipped with a motorized LED brush that pulls dirt out from the gaps between my old pine floorboards. The LED lights make it easy to see in the corners and under the tables and furniture so you know you got every little crumb and pet hair tumble weed.

Before I get into some techie stuff about the vacuum, I want to mention that it is really quiet. I can vacuum in the same room with my family while they cook or watch TV and it doesn’t drive them crazy. I can carry on a conversation with my husband while I vacuum. While I don’t have babies or toddlers napping anymore, I imagine you could get away with running this vacuum during nap time with no problems.

The small, lightweight size of the vac makes it easy to maneuver around and under furniture. I found myself getting into tight spaces that I don’t always vacuum with the “big” vac. I was actually excited to vacuum the stairs. Being so lightweight and cordless and having the little handheld attachment made it almost effortless to run the vacuum across each stair tread. And I was able to get the carpeted runner and the hardwood sides and landing Clean and dust free at the same time.

The handheld attachment also works great on all upholstered furniture. I was able to run it over the sofa and the side chairs quickly and get them clean without damaging the fabric.

The 3 suction levels allow me to adjust to the different needs in my home. I tend to use mostly the highest level of suctioning. I was a little bit worried about having the right amount of suction for the ruggable rug – enough to clean the rug but not so much that it sucked the covering off the backing – but it was perfect on the mid level of suction. I only use the lowest level of suctioning when I am working around the drapes or vacuuming around the chandeliers. I find each level to work well for the different jobs I use this cordless stick vacuum for.

The dust bin unlatched easily by releasing the lock allowing hands freed emptying. I did have to use a screw driver to “help” the pet hair come out. There is the option to pull the container apart to release the hair however I didn’t mind my make shift way to remove the tightly packed hair. I did need to empty the canister after vacuuming the room the dogs spend most of their time in. After that I was able to vacuum the rest of the rooms on the main floor of the house before emptying the canister again.

I am able to vacuum the entire house on one charge. With that said I didn’t do the high dust type of vacuuming at the same time, it was just a basic run through of all the rooms. The battery life is said to be 40 minutes and I think that seems accurate. The detachable battery can be charged on its own or it can be charged while attached to the stick vacuum.

PROS ABOUT THIS VACUUM

My favorite thing about this vacuum is by far how quick and easy it is to grab it and run it around whatever area needs it. I find myself using it almost daily because of the ease of use and how effectively and efficiently it picks up dirt!

CONS ABOUT THIS VACUUM

The first con is the wall bracket. It is one slot short for hanging all the attachments. I got another little hanger for the other attachment, it just seems like it should come with a bracket that holds all the attachments. Secondly, for some people it might be off-putting to get the pet hair out of the canister. For me it wasn’t a big deal at all and I’m used to doing that other vacuum cleaners if they have good suction.

The Kyvol V20 really gets the job done. It is a good vacuum and a great value! I highly recommend it for anyone who likes to keep a clen home without a lot of hassle!
