With all the robotic vacuum options out there for you we wanted to take the guess work out your purchasing decision. We have tried out every robovac we could find and narrowed it down to the 7 best rated robot vacuums available today.

We tested products on hard wood, carpet, laminate, combo floors. We reviewed each vac for suction, battery life, easy docking, fit under furniture, transitioning from hardwood to carpet and ease of emptying out. We also considered the noise level of the vac, the connectivity capabilities.

Still questioning if you should get a robot vacuum? That was a tough decision for me as well. I have to say that after owning one for over a year I love it. I can run the vacuum every day. It can run while I’m away from home and it picks up a ton of dog hair. I can’t say I never pull out the old vacuum but for a busy Mom with kids, pets, work, sports and everything in between I can run this vac and keep the house looking decent all week-long. Once a week or so, when I have time (lol), I run my old vac through the house to get all the really tough to reach spots. I am sold on the usefulness of the robot vac. I think you will be to.

Here are the results for the top 7 best rated robotic vacuums available today. I hope this helps you find a good fit for your household.

1. iRobot Roomba 890. Cleany Meany #1 pick

The Roomba 890 robot vacuum loosens and lifts dirt with more suction power than its similarly priced competitors. The dirt detecting sensors alert it to clean heavily soiled areas more thoroughly. The tangle-free bristles and high-efficiency filter of the Roomba 890 make it ideal for homes with pets. You can press the CLEAN button to start cleaning immediately or you can use the iRobot HOME app and schedule when your Roomba operates.

2. iRobot Roomba 690

The Roomba 690 is one of the less expensive of the Roomba robo vacs. It still has dual brush system and dirt detecting technology. This was my first robo vac purchase and it held up very well to daily use. It did get stuck in some tricky spots like the corner of the brick hearth. If it gets itself stuck it will shut off. It will find its way back home to charge when the battery is low. Overall it is a great mid price option.

Battery Life: 60 minutes

Noise level: Moderate

Connectivity: Wi-Fi compatible

What sets it apart: With nearly the same features as the Roomba 890 (minus the HEPA filter and 5x suction) the Roomba 690 is more affordable version of a popular brand name robovac.
