I’ve been spending a lot of time trying out and researching the best cordless vacuum cleaners lately. When I found the LG vacs I was super excited to give one a try. I love LG products and this vac is no different. My house is full of LG appliances and I trust the brand and they seem to last longer than other appliances. The Set Up

When your LG A9 Ultimate arrives it will require a bit of assembly. You won’t need any tools. You can just snap the stick part into the power head or whichever attachment you are going to use first. You will then snap the filters together and insert them into the dirt collection canister. The battery slides into place on the bottom part of the handle. The stand is freestanding so you can place it near any outlet for ease of charging. IF you choose to mount the base/stand to the wall you will require a screwdriver but this is not necessary for the use of your vac or the stand. There you have it! Ready to clean!

About This Product

The LG CordZero A9 Ultimate is easy to use and efficient. I like that it weighs in at only 5 pounds making it one of the lightest cordless vacs I have used. When I go on a crazy marathon of high dusting all the cobwebs off the ceiling and light fixtures I don’t hurt my shoulders and vac when I use the LG CordZero A9 with the telescopic wand.

I can use any of the three suction levels as I move around my house. I mostly use the medium level of suction. It picks up the majority of the dust and dirt in my house and I can get about 30 minutes on one battery. If I’m using the lower suction level, like when I do the high dusting, the battery will last about 40 minutes and when I vacuum the “dog room” I put the suction level to high, but I only get about 20 minutes on one battery. The beauty of this is the LG CordZero A9 Ultimate comes with two batteries!! This is the only cordless vac I tried that has two batteries and it is one of my favorite things out the vac. I normally don’t run out of battery but sometimes I get into a real cleaning mood and I can just keep on moving once I switch out the battery. Just pop the drained battery back on the charging stand and slide the fully charged battery into the vac and off you go. Total max run time is up to 80 minutes!

The stand for the LG vac is freestanding so you can move it anywhere there is a power cord. You don’t have to put holes in the wall to hang the base attachment, just put the back and accessories right on the stand and it will charge right there too.

The washable cyclones and filters will help extend the life of your vacuum. The prefilter, cyclone filter and fine dust filter can all be removed easily and washed to help keep your vacuum running at maximum efficiency. The 5 step filtration system filters out 99.99% of dust and dirt. And the Smart Inverter Motor creates 140 AW of powerful suction.

The LG CordZero A9 has a unique power punch nozzle that creates vibrations and helps uncover and remove dust than is hidden in items like sofas, upholstered chairs and mattresses.

The one touch controls that you press with your thumb make powering on and off and switching suction levels a breeze.

This cordless stick vac can be used by anyone because of its lightweight and its ease of maneuvering around and under furniture. It is easy to carry up and down stairs without worry about lugging a heavy vac and without a cord to worry about tripping on. The run time makes due to the 2 batteries makes this vac perfect for even really large homes, yet the compact size and maneuverability make it ideal for smaller homes as well. The LG vac comes with three power heads for different flooring types so it works for pretty much any home. I personally use it on wood, concrete, oriental rugs, tile, brick, and my new ruggable rugs.

Pros About The LG CordZero A9 Ultimate

I mentioned this earlier and I’ll mention it again – I love the LG brand. I have always had really good luck with LG appliances and products and this vac is also very solid and seems like it is going to stand the test of time as with my other LG products.

And yes, I’ll say this again also – it has two batteries! For the life of me I can’t figure out why all cordless vacs don’t come with two batteries. It is a brilliant feature.

The brush roller pick up pet hair without getting it all wound around the roller. And the canister is easy to dump. I also like the fact that the filters are washable.

The adjustable wand telescopes to the height you prefer making it easy to use no matter how tall or not tall you are.

This vac is extremely lightweight and surprisingly quiet. I can watch the news while I vacuum. I realize that some people may disagree with me about “watching the news” being a positive thing so I’ll add in that I don’t always watch the news – sometimes I watch HGTV, lol!

Cons about the LG CordZero A9 Ultimate

There are not many cons for this vac. I do find the dust bin to be a bit small. I have to empty it a couple of times while cleaning, however I have 5 house pets and they create so much hair and dirt! And although I like the telescoping wand, if you are a very tall person it may not extend as long as you would like. This vac also does not stand on its own or have the nook to rest it against the counter if you have to stop to pick up things.

 

In Summary

This vac is top rated by Consumer Reports for those of you who put stock in those ratings. It also made my list of the 5 best cordless vacuum cleaners for 2021. It made my list for a variety of reasons including its easy maneuverability, long run time, lightweight, good suction and quiet operation.

This vacuum is in the mid to high range for pricing but I think based on the features, attachments and quality, solid feel and the LG name it is well worth it.
