The Set Up
As with most cordless vacuum cleaners, there is some set up required when the vac first arrives. I wouldn’t necessarily say it requires assembly because there are no tools needed to put the vac together. It just snaps together quickly and easily. The directions are simple and easy to follow if you need a little support. You will need a screw driver or screw gun to attach the mounting bracket to the wall. The mounting bracket is where the vac “lives” when not in use and it is the most likely and easiest place to recharge to battery, so keep that in mind when installing the mounting bracket to ensure you have an outlet available in that area.

What You Get
When your vacuum arrives and you open up the box, you will have the attachments separate from the stick part of the vac. You will need to put the power head onto the stick (no tools required, it just snaps on) and then you can easily switch out the attachments by pressing the button on the front of the stick par t of the vac. The other attachments included with this vac are the 2-in-1 dusting brush and the 7″ crevice tool. You will also find the battery in the box and the mounting bracket with screws to attack it to the wall. The only item you will need to have is a screwdriver to put the mounting bracket on the wall and that is only if you choose to hang the vac.

I’m really impressed with the ease of use of this little vac. It is lightweight, making it ideal for anyone to use. It is easy to carry up and down the stairs and it doesn’t require a lot of space to store. The battery life is good for nearly all home sizes. I have a friend who owns a hair salon and she just purchased this vacuum to vac up the hair between clients. It is faster, easier and cleaner than grabbing the broom and dustpan to pick up the hair. The easy rest nook is particularly helpful for her in the salon. I think this vac would be ideal for any small business!

Pros About the Eureka PowerClean Pro
One of the biggest pros about the Eureka vacuum cleaner is how light it is – it weighs in at just over 5 pounds. That makes it so easy to grab for any little clean up job. Not to mention that Eureka is a good brand. My first vacuum cleaner in my adult life was a used Eureka canister vac and even though I got it as a hand me down, it lasted for a long time. Honestly it might still be going somewhere, I just decided that I was going to an upright vac. You can read about my thoughts on upright vs. canister vacs. Another pro for the Eureka is the price. It comes in at half the price (or less) than other brand name cordless vacuum cleaners and I think it is worth every penny. I don’t feel like there is any sacrifice in quality with this vacuum at this price point.
Cons About the Eureka PowerClean Pro
The biggest con I have in regard to this cordless vac is the width. It is only 9.8 inches wide making it almost 2 inches narrower than some competitors. It isn’t that big of a deal to me but it is narrow – I guess that is how it is so lightweight.
I also think this vac isn’t as quiet as some others I have tried. I am not saying it is loud, it just isn’t as quiet and to some people (I’m thinking of the new Mom’s out there) this might be a deal breaker for a vacuum cleaner.
In Summary
I really like the Eureka name and this vacuum does not disappoint either. The Eureka PowerClean Pro made my top 5 list of the best cordless vacuum cleaners because of its many great features. I like that it is really lightweight yet it feels like a good quality, solid product. This cordless vacuum may not have as many bells and whistles as some but for the low price it is well worth the money and I think you will be pleases with your choice if this is the vacuum you choose.
As I have mentioned in other posts, I am kind of new to using cordless stick vacs. My husband bought one and since then I have decided they are absolutely great. I love how quick and easy it is to vacuum even on a daily basis and I am super impressed by how much pet hair and dirt they pick up. This Eureka has proven to be a huge time saver for me. It didn’t break the budget and doesn’t break my back! It’s a win – win in my book!!
